Barista at Peets Coffee & Tea or Starbucks?
What’s training like? do you memorize all of the drinks? what is the salary for a starting barista? whats the experience like? recommend applying or no?
my sister used to work for starbucks. it’s almost the equivalent of a bartender. you have to know all the drinks plus be able to guess what people unfamiliar with the menu want. she was making about $7.50/hour. she would not recommend it. tough shifts, low pay, mediocre tips, incompetent management (at her store).
