Am I missing something or do I just have snobby friends?
So me and my friends were making plans to throw a really old style tea party at one of their houses just for fun, and we were making plans about who would bring what and I mentioned that I had seen a tea set at Goodwill a couple days earlier that had that really classic “tea set” look to it and that if they liked I could swing by and see if it was still there. I didn’t think there was anything weird about that but they all acted like it was really gross to use a tea set from Goodwill. Am I missing something here? Thanks!
Well obviously I would wash it first, but what’s wrong with it after you do that?
Sure, your friends are missing the point of reduce, reuse and recycle….nothing wrong with buying a tea set where ever you want to if it’s the one you want.
I think it’s a great idea. If you had just purchased it and brought it along they would have assumed you pulled if from Nana’s china cabinet, right?
They are victims of merchandising and the media. Be nice to them, they are sad little minded girls.

Alice in Wonderland (Masterpiece Edition) $10.87 Walt Disney seems to have had a special affection for Lewis Carroll’s “Alice” stories. “Alice’s Wonderland” (1923), a short about a live-action little girl in a cartoon world, led to his first successful series, the “Alice” comedies (collected on Walt Disney Treasures: Disney Rarities–Celebrated Shorts, 1920s -1960s). During the early ’30s, he talked about making an animation/live-action feature … |

The Anthology $8.90 By all rights, Chuck Berry should be walking on red carpets and playing palaces around the world. Of course, for various, often unseemly reasons, this is not the case in 2000 and it’s a shame. In a weird way, Berry’s legacy–his influence and his innovation–often obscures the brilliance of the music itself. He didn’t just pave the way for rock & roll’s domination, he also created some of the genr… |
