Coffee Maker Brew Basket Overflowing?
I recently purchased a commercial type coffee maker on eBay for my office. It is a Classic Coffee Concepts RC130. The seller sold it as a customer return that had been tested and working properly. However, it was still sold “As Is”.
Upon receiving the unit, I ran several pots of water through the machine with no problem. Next, I tried brewing coffee. I followed the directions in the user manual – I put a commercial, 12-cup filter in the brew basket, added the appropriate amount of coffee grinds and started the machine.
I immediately noticed that the liquid was slowly dripping into the carafe, much slower than the flow when I ran plain water through the machine. Within a short period of time, the brew basket filled with water and then overflowed with coffee and grounds.
Does anyone have any advice? Could I be doing something wrong or do you think this is, in fact, a defective machine?
Here is a sight you may find helpful , they also have customer svce for that machine plus a manual,
