Why does my cat lick wooden furniture?
my cat sabrina (10 years of age) licks wooden furniture. most of the time she licks my great grandmothers hope chest and sometimes the wooden coffee table. we don’t use any furniture shine, just occasionally dust. she has been doing this for almost a year now. i’m just curious why she does it? is it normal?
My cat also occasionally looks wooden furniture but mostly she likes to lick cardboard boxes. Cats just like the feeling of that particular material on their tongue. It’s completely normal and shouldn’t harm her in any way.
