Chamomile Tea?

I recently purchased a chamomile plant and was wondering if I could use it to make tea and if so how?

Yes! It’s quite simple and a lovely drink indeed.

Cut off some of the flowers, and place them in the sun on a plate. Allow them to dry fully. It may take several days! The dried flowers keep for quite some time in a dark cool place, so do more than you need, and keep them for winter!

Put the leaves in a tea ball or steeping cup, and put that in your mug or teapot. Add hot (but, unlike with normal tea, NOT boiling) water, and let steep for desired amount of time. Probably less than five minutes, though.

And of course, be certain that no pesticides have been used on the plant.

If you don’t have a tea ball, just do it looseleaf (put the flowers in the mug/pot, pour in the water) and then run it through a fine sieve a number of times.
