How much coffee grounds are to much?
I recently bought a bag of Colombia coffee from Caribou Coffees. On the side of the bag it says for the best coffee use 2 heaping tablespoons per 8 oz. so for a 10 cup pot that’s equal to 20 heaping tablespoons. Which is more than 1 1/4 cup of coffee grounds. Now that’s INSANE! This better be good coffee!
I have used that same coffee. I use the 1/4 cup measuring cup for all my coffee. 1 Level scoop for 10 cups and 1 heaping scoop for 12 cups. At work we use 3 – 1 oz (medicine cup) scoops for a 10 cup pot.
