Just found mold in my coffee pot?
Hi, we forgot to empty the coffee out of our coffee pot and it grew mold in the thermos and in the brew basket.
The coffee maker is a BUNN the kind that keeps water in the back so it brews faster… is there any way there is mold growing in the water canister in the back? We don’t plug it in and keep the water hot because we don’t drink coffee that often. And there is no way for me to look in and see if everything’s cool or not.
Either way, how do we clean it to make sure it’s not going to harm us. Thanks
Just run a mixture of 1 cup vinegar and several cups water through it about 3 separate times and then brew only water (without coffee) through it once to get the vinegar residue out.
I have had this happen and the above will work wonders to save You and your coffee pot.
