Questions for Lesbian People?
I am a Teenage Lesbian.
Many Parents would put a Dress on a girl and make them wear pink, and Put pants on a boy and make them wear Blue.
How did you Dress Growing up and did you Hate or Like it??
I always hated wearing dresses and hated the color Pink and I always felt comfortable wearing pants.
Girls would normaly get Dolls and tea sets to play with, and Boys would normaly get Trucks/Cars and footballs.
What Toys did you play with as a child, Did you like then or not??
My parents used to buy me Barbi dolls and all the girly stuff and I hated it.
I felt Jealous of my bother because he used to get all these awesome toys and wear nice comfy clothes when I was wearing what I hated and playing with toys then I hated.
Did you feel the same as what I did?
I’m wondering why people think Girls like Pink and Boys like Blue?
Why do people automatic think Boys will play with Truck and Girls will play with Dolls?
What is the Meaning of all this??

i’ve always thought that the gendering of clothes, behaviour, colours and toys was stupid. people should be able to behave as they please without it defining gender or sexuality. all of the boys i knew from when they were babies liked barbies but were taught to hate them by their parents because they were ‘girls” toys. now i’m older i know they were all afraid they would “turn” gay. my little sister owns trucks and stuff like that and my parents keep saying se should have been a boy. stupid, no? as far as i know they’re all straight. when i was very young i played with barbies, teddies, tea sets, dolls, pretended my mums nail polish were people. i also had a toy plane, cars and balls. i stopped liking barbie because it was sexist. as i grew i got more into puzzles, board games, roller blades and card games(like pokemon) i also disliked the way MacDonald’s gave “girls” toys and “boys” toys away with happy meals especially since the ones aimed at girls were boring and pink coloured. in kindy my favourite colour was pink then i started to dislike it because people kept saying i should because i’m a girl. when i was younger i liked dresses and heels and make up. i began to dislike them because i was supposed to like them, because i wanted to be like george from the famous five and because they were just plain uncomfortable. at the same time i also liked pants and overalls. im a pants person now. i never wear jewelery, make up, dresses, frilly stuff and pink is not my favourte colour yet i have always gotten and still receive gifts from family that are all those things just because i’m female. it more than annoys me. the only reason for people doing this is that they refuse to awknowledge more tha one notion of what is feminine. it is simpler for the to deny that all genders have personality variations within them. we are all individual. they just feel the need to define us by a criteria of what they think is an acceptable way for us to behave.
