Could someone give me basic instructions on making coffee using auto drip coffee maker?

I have a used Mr. Coffee coffee maker (so it didn’t come with papers).

How many cups does your machine make and what shape is the filter holder? i.e. flat bottomed or coned shaped?
If it’s cone shaped, be sure to buy that shape filters! They come in different sizes, too, and that depends on how many cups your machine makes. We have a 5-6 cupper and buy cone shaped filters. The size is 1×2, the next size up is 1×4 which is for 12 cups.
Once you figure all that out, you are on your way! Be sure to use cold water, and one big scoop of ground coffee for every two cups water.
